چکیده

Abstract The hydrodynamic interactions between an offshore platform and surrounding water mainly occurs in way of the pile legs, flow past legs can be simplified to columns. This is reason why it great significance simulate around multiple columns with accuracy. In this paper, based on a mesh-less method, Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) MLParticle-SJTU solver used two parallel square Firstly, reliability accuracy verified by simulating Poiseuille flow, which no-slip boundary condition applied. Then, different spacing simulated when Reynold number 40. influence pattern, force vortex shedding frequency analyzed. It found that relatively small, small vortices will attached surface As ratio increases, periodic occur.

Direct numerical simulations of three-dimensional flows past obstacles with a vortex penalization method

A vortex method with penalization is proposed in order to simulate three-dimensional incompressible bluff body flows. This approach combines the robustness of vortex methods and the flexibility of penalization methods to impose boundary conditions on the obstacle. Far field boundary conditions are handled in a FFT-based Poisson solver. A validation of the proposed numerical method is carried ou...

Numerical Simulation of Fluid Flow Past a Square Cylinder Using a Lattice Boltzmann Method

The method of lattice boltzmann equation(LBE) is a kinetic-based approach for fluid flow computations. In the last decade, minimal kinetic models, and primarily the LBE, have met with significant success in the simulation of complex hydrodynamic phenomena, ranging from slow flows in grossly irregular geometries to fully developed turbulence, to flow with dynamic phase transitions. In the presen...

Numerical Simulation of Rayleigh-Taylor Instability by Multiphase MPS Method

The Rayleigh-Taylor instability problem is one of the classic hydrodynamic instability cases in natural scenarios and industrial applications. For the numerical simulation of the Rayleigh-Taylor instability problem, this paper presents a multiphase method based on the moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) method. Herein, the incompressibility of the fluids is satisfied by solving a Poisson Pressu...

Numerical Modeling of water-waves induced by landslides with WC-MPS method

The rapid movement of sediments, which is often induced by a very erosive and transient flow in rivers and rivers, causes a lot of geomorphology and engineering problems. Failure of the dam with a moving bed, submerged landslide, sedimentation flushing in reservoirs are just a few examples of these problems. The study of waves is challenging due to the interference of several complex physical p...

Opencl Numerical Simulations of Two-fluid Compressible Flows with a 2d Random Choice Method

In this paper, we propose a new very simple numerical method for solving liquidgas compressible flows. Such flows are difficult to simulate because classical conservative finite volume schemes generate pressure oscillations at the liquid-gas interface. We extend to several dimensions the random choice scheme that we have constructed in [13]. The extension is performed through Strang dimensional...
